    FASE II- Línea Microfocus macromolecular crystallography

    Siguiendo las indicaciones de los responsables de la presentación de la línea (Prof. Isabel Usón y Prof. Nuria Verdaguer), os enviamos el resultado del SAC y recomendaciones de ALBA para conocimiento de los usuarios interesados.

    “On  October  19 th and 20 the SAC  of Alba held a meeting to evaluate the proposals of beamlines of phase II .

    The criteria used for the ranking are defined as follows:

    A: should be considered for funding now if resources are available in Phase II;

    B: should not be considered for funding in Phase II. The scientific case is strong
    enough that a new proposal could be considered in the future if modified appropriately;

    C: should not be considered for funding in Phase II and the scientific case does not warrant consideration in the near future round of proposals.

    The proposal that you submitted on Microfocusing and Macromolecular crystallographpy  was ranked as A proposal.

    Later, the ALBA Council meeting celebrated on December 21 th, was informed on the recommendation  of SAC and  took the following decision:

    “Evaluar, en el año 2012,  la demanda de la comunidad científica en relación a la línea experimental de “micro difracción”. Si dicha evaluación resultara positiva, en el año 2013 podrá  iniciarse la construcción de la mencionada línea experimental,  de acuerdo con la memoria adjunta al presente acuerdo y sujeta a la existencia de las disponibilidades presupuestarias pertinentes.”

    Por favor pasa esta información a tus colegas.

    Si necesitas alguna aclaración ya sabes donde estoy.

    Un saludo.

    Salvador Ferrer”
